This beautiful picture of an open umbrella in Korea reminds me of all of us, humans, who form together one humanity yet are culturally very diverse. Who does not long for inclusion, respect and acceptance despite our differences from one another? In an era of increased interconnectedness on a crowded planet, living diversity and inclusion on a daily basis seems to be a basic fact of life.
On May 21, 2012 it will be the tenth anniversary of the World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development. The theme this year is “Do One Thing for Diversity and Inclusion.”
